Foreword by Daniel Gustavsson
When the LORD saw that the wickedness of the people was great on the earth, and that all the intentions and thoughts of their hearts were always only evil, then the LORD repented that he had made the people on the earth, and he was grieved in his heart. And the LORD said: The people whom I created I will wipe out from the earth, yes, both people and four-footed animals and creeping things and birds of the air; for I regret having done them.
That's what it says in Genesis, chapter 6. After that, God let water wash away all evil, only Noah and his family and animals were allowed to survive. But how do you do the same cleansing today? Well, with zombies of course! Robert Kirkman portrays all this objectively and believably. You can't directly claim that Rick and his ilk are God's best children. They may be good people who occasionally do evil deeds. But in Rick's case, there are quite a few. It is undeniably possible to hear the echo of God's words to Noah: The people, whom I created, I want to wipe out from the earth ...

Reviews
"You don't want anything to happen to the personal favourites, and since Kirkman has shown early on that no one is safe, every page turn is a thrill mixed with horror."
