Q: Are there an age limit to take part of the FX classes?
A: Most of the workshops are limited to those aged 18 and over, due to very long and intense days. We are looking into options for lighter and easier workshops for youths, but at the moment we recommend 18y +!
Q: Do I need prior knowledge in FX / Mask Making to take part of your classes?
A: No prior knowledge is needed, our workshops are for beginners and advanced. You will learn every step of the process during the class!
Q: How much are your FX products / classes in Dollars, British Pounds etc?
A: Our currency is SEK (Swedish Kronor). Sometimes we will list the cost of the product/workshop in Euros as well. To get an idea of what you are spending in US Dollars or British Pounds visit the currency convertor xe.com for the most up to date exchange rates. The conversion is quick, easy and free!
Q: Will I receive a certificate / diploma on completion of a course?
A: You will receive a certificate/diploma upon completion of a course. The certificate will be signed by the teacher and the CEO of Helsinglight FX Makeup Academy.
Q: Can you help me with advice on travel and accommodation?

Q: You are based in Sweden, what language is the FX class held in?
A: yes! We are based in the mid north of Sweden on the beautiful countryside! Our workshops are held both in Swedish and English.
Q: Can I bring the stone mold home with me?
A: Yes, this is yours to keep. Your design, your mold. Great if you travel by car then it is no problem. If you don't travel by car the mold weighs a lot and there is a cost involved in shipping the mold to your location. We can quote a shipment with DHL/SCHENKER of your mold for you but you will pay for the shipping of the mold.
Q: Does the FX classes fee include food and accommodation?
A: We offer dormitory accommodation when you participate in our classes. You will have to bring/make your own lunch. We can drive you the nearest shop/take away food place. There is plenty of coffee and Thé on the house.
Q: Is it possible to set up a payment plan?
A: Yes, we offer the possibility to set up a payment plan where you can pay the course fee in three monthly instalments. If you need a more flexible plan then you can contact us to discuss this.
Q: Why is there a deposit fee and why is it non refundable?
A: The deposit fee secures your place at the workshop and is part of the total course fee to be paid. So it is a part payment in advance so to speak.
Deposits are non-refundable due to material cost in preparation for the workshop, however if you do need to cancel, we will help you out to book you onto a future workshop. In the event that we need to cancel the workshop, full refunds will be issued.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Check the answer above regarding the deposit fee which is non refundable. The rest of the balance of the workshop is to be paid 1 week prior to the start of the workshop and at the latest on the first day of the class. Once paid the course fee is non refundable if you cancel. However we are happy to book you on to another course date, so that you don't lose your money.
Helsinglight FX Makeup Academy will not be responsible for any costs incurred by a participant who is unable to receive a refund on accommodation and travel.
Our teachers at Helsinglight FX Academy are all working professionals and it may happen that we sometimes need to change teachers on a workshop. Also if one of our teachers get sick we will also need to call in another teacher. The new teacher will always be of the same level as the original one and therefore we cannot make any refunds based on this change.
Q: What equipment do I need to bring to a FX class?
A: All materials and tools needed during the class to create the specific design the class is aimed for is included in the cost. If you wish to purchase FX Lenses, prop material or other FX materials for the character you have created you can do so. We also sell materials and tools if you wish to buy some to bring home.
Q: Is it possible to take a private lesson or a customized class?
A: Yes, we can offer private lessons and customized courses but at a higher cost. Contact us for more information and prices.
Q: Can I register for multiple courses at once?
A: Yes, you can register for multiple courses at once, but please note that the deposit is per course. You can also contact us if you need assistance setting up a payment plan.
