Description
An epidemic of apocalyptic format has swept the world and brought the dead back to life. In just a few months, the infection has caused civilization to collapse; there are no authorities left, no shops, no post or cable TV.
One of the few survivors of this terrifying future is Rick Grimes. Just recently, he was a peaceful small-town American cop. Separated from his family, he has to fight for life and death to try to find his wife and child. Which ones are actually the most dangerous? The dead or the living?
In a world populated by the dead, we are finally forced to start living…
About the Swedish collection of The Walking Dead
Finally here! This is the first collection volume in Swedish of the critically acclaimed series "The Walking Dead", which laid the foundation for the TV hit of the same name. A nerve-wracking survival story that takes the classic zombie genre to new heights. The series quickly became a cult in the country of origin, the United States, where it ranks high on all sales charts, and continues its triumphant streak across the rest of the world in conjunction with the launch of the TV series. Two more volumes are planned for release in 2011. An epidemic of apocalyptic format has swept the world and brought the dead back to life. Foreword by author Robert Kirkman
In The Walking Dead, I want to explore how people deal with extreme situations and how these events make them change. I look at this long-term. You will witness how Rick changes and matures - so much so that when you look back at this album, you won't even recognize him. I hope you're looking forward to a winding and comprehensive work, because that's what this is meant to be.
Everything in this series is an attempt to show the natural progression of events, things that I imagine would occur in situations like these. And it is the people who drive this forward. How these people get to a place is far more important than that they get there. I hope to give you reflections of your friends, your neighbors, your families and yourselves; and in this work show how to react to these extreme situations.- Robert Kirkman, 2004

VIDEO: Comic Book VS TV Series
Below is a video from CineFix showing the difference between The Walking Dead comic book and The Walking Dead TV series (Season 1). Season one is mostly based on volume 1, but there is some that also touches on volume 2, among other things.
ATTENTION! Spoiler alert (but if you've seen the TV series, there aren't TOO MANY spoilers - except they show the death of one of the characters).
