Group 1 has finished their creative challenge and we are excited to present to you their final photos of the character created. The theme for their challenge was to create a mischievous little goblin in clay. A goblin with magical abilities that lives in the deep dark forests of Helsinglight. When we have presented the final work by every creative challenger/contestant in group 1 we will announce the winner of the group that will advance and compete in the finals later on.
He lives in a small cosy cave under a big fir tree, somewhere in the forests near House of Helsinglight.
Smurbnogs likes to visit the human village by night to cause mischief. He steals screws, nails, bits and bobs and the occasional sock (go Smurbnogs, make them rock their socks!). He might shut off your dryer mid-cycle, move your keys or unplug your phone from the charger. Sometimes he jumps onto the windowsill to drag his fingernails on the glass to make annoying sounds.
But his absolute favourite pastime in the human village is taunting the cats.
His preferred magic is the school of light. He has mastered the art of creating and removing light, altering it to make illusions, and bending it to make things invisible. He mostly uses it to become invisible or to project movies for an at home cinema with his friends. (That’s illegal Smurbnogs).
It’s almost impossible to find him or his home by sight, but one might hear him when walking in the woods as he often hums, whistles or babbles to himself.
He is a bit of a talker, and as a forest Goblin he can of course talk to the animals. He gets along particularly well with the corvid birds. Something about a shared interest for mischief and shiny things... He is also a bit of a hoard-... Collector.
Smurbnogs highly appreciates art and beauty and is a very creative soul. He makes his own clothes and jewellery, and enjoys embroidery. He is fabulous, and he knows it. If you ever find unnatural patterns of stones in the woods, it’s probably Smurbnogs doing stone art. If he was big enough to carry a camera around, he would totally be a photographer.
Smurbnogs loves strawberries, and if he finds your strawberry patch he will sample each and every strawberry until he finds the best one to take home. He makes a mean strawberry jam! If you leave out some slices of fruit for him he might skip causing trouble at your place. #StrawberriesForSmurbnogs

Cool idea, great execution! You get a package, a password and a date to look forward to, then the theme is revealed and it's time to get sculpting! At the same time you start following the other challengers to see their progress and share tips and tricks with each other. You can even hang out in a voice chat with them while sculpting! As well as a nice pastime and good opportunity to work on your sculpting skills, it is also a brilliant opportunity to admire, get inspired by and learn from the other challengers sculpting styles! The challenge itself is really fun, but the best thing is the community sprouting from it.
