Summertime is lovely in Sweden. It is the season most people wait for and especially this year since the winter we had was rather cold with loads of snow! Helsinglight is located in the beautiful countryside mid north of Sweden. We're about 2,5 hours north of Stockholm. We usually get really lovely summers here with nice temperatures and during the summer it doesn't really get dark in the nighttime so evenings are awesome to spend outside next to a bonfire.
If you attend our 10-day SFX Silicone Mask Making Workshop you will be looking at a total of 11 days spent here, where one day in the schedule is marked as "Day off". So 10 days devoted to the workshop and one day off! The workshop hours are usually between 9-5pm. Sometimes we work a bit longer hours depending on the stage we're at and some days we might finish a bit earlier then instead. It is a very intense workshop filled with so many things for you to learn and practise. But you will get evenings off and also there will be an entire day off for you to gather energy and enjoy in beautiful surroundings.
Summertime is awesome and there is so much to do here and so many beautiful places to visit and explore! We love sharing our best "pearls" with people visiting us and to show stunning scenic spots or magical places with great history and marks of Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore.
If you wish to try some outdoor activities out on your day off we're more than happy to help you book them, i.e icelandic horseback riding, kayaking, fishing etc.
When the workshop day is over we might spend some evenings and nights together at Helsinglight, sit by the bonfire, enjoying a BBQ, music and just talking the night away. In the daytime if it's a real hot summers day we might take a break and head for a swim and work a bit later in the night instead. If we finish early one day and the weather is lovely we could just bring some picnic with us and head to a lake nearby for a swim. Or after a long day of workshop head to the beach for a refreshing late night swim. There is also the opportunity to try a real Finnish Sauna out if someone wishes to do so. The possibilities are endless, we will plan according to weather and what the group feels like doing and depending on how tired you are after a days SFX-work! Sometimes you just need the night off! There is also nearby the opportunity for a city day/night life (shopping, pubs, restaurants) if you want to try the cities Hudiksvall and Sundsvall out!
This summer we're opening up our workshop area at Helsinglight SFX Makeup Academy! This workshop will be the first workshop ever held at our own place! We're making history together!
Our next 10 day SFX silicone mask making workshop will take place 5-15th of July! There are still some places available to book (limited to 12 places)!
